While we can’t currently offer our services to customers, we are now offering telerehab appointments via Zoom! video to help you plan for when it’s time to get back out into the world and enjoy some much-missed self care. All you need is your smartphone, tablet, or a computer with a webcam; it’s that easy!

What is Telerehab?
Telerehab is a remote appointment that occurs over confidential phone or preferably video conference. Your health care provider will connect at your scheduled appointment time, allowing you to attend from your own home. We use a secure remote healthcare platform called “Zoom Health”. Telerehabilitation is an opportunity to speak privately with a physiotherapist via Zoom for a provisional diagnosis, exercise plan and rehabilitation strategy. This is great for all appointments that continue to need our guidance while waiting for hands on care until the risk of COVID-19 is lowered.
Do I need special software?
Depending on your device, all you need to do is click the Zoom link we provide when you book your appointment. Just make sure you have a device with working camera and microphone and space to do your exercises. It's always worth testing your setup before the appointment to make sure it all works.
What can I expect during a Telerehab Physiotherapy appointment?
Your physiotherapist will be able to provide you with a provisional diagnosis, education on your injury, appropriate management plans, and provide you with your rehabilitation exercises. In additional treatments, they will be able to assess your status along your rehabilitation plan and make recommendations for your progression. Telerehab is an effective way to progress exercises and monitor your progress. This is important to ensure you do not fall behind or plateau during this time.
Is there an additional cost to Telerehab?
MVA insurers, WCB when provided by a registered Physiotherapist. Although Telerehab is covered by most extended health plans it recommended that you check with your specific insurance provider to ensure that it is covered. Your receipt will be emailed to you when complete.
What else do I need to have ready for this Telerehab Appointment?
- Complete and return the consent form we sent you
- Test your technology in advance
- Ensure you have space to do exercises without disruption
- Wear clothing that lets you move and allows us to see the area of your injury/function
- Have ready any gear you need (theraband, roller, weights, an exercise mat etc)
- Let your practitioner know if you have any questions
